Midlands Co-operative Funeral Services in Great Barr invited families it has helped throughout the year to a special Remembrance Service.

The service organised at St Paul’s Church took place on Sunday 9th March and was led by four Ministers representing the Church of England and Roman Catholic faiths. During the ceremony, loved ones were blessed and candles were lit in their memory. A time of reflection was also spent listening to the local soloist, Marie-Louisa Allard.

Funeral Director, Helen England, commented: “Our Remembrance Services are very well received. This year’s ceremony was a truly personal experience and we had very positive feedback from the families attending.

“Many people find them to be a useful healing experience, which helps them in some small way to move on and come to terms with their grief. We feel it is important to support the families, not just when we arrange and conduct the funeral, but also afterwards to help them through the grieving process.”
