Derby County Football Club and Midlands Co-operative Funeral Services have teamed up to offer a range of Derby County Football Funerals.
From 11 March 2010, Midlands Co-operative Funeral Services will become the official funeral service for the Club offering a range of different options which can be tailor-made to suit individual requirements of Derby County supporters.
Commenting on the launch, Paul Webb, General Manager of Midlands Co-operative Funeral Services, said: “By forming this partnership with Derby County Football Club we hope to provide families with a fitting tribute to mark the passing away of a loved one who had a passion for the club. Once a funeral has been arranged, families can simply add on one of four different options or choose from a number of individual tributes to create a unique funeral.”
Commenting on behalf of Derby County Football Club, CEO Tom Glick, said: “We are delighted to announce this new partnership with Midlands Co-operative Funeral Services, with whom we look forward to working closely throughout the duration of this partnership. We receive a number of requests relating to funerals throughout the year, and hope by announcing this partnership we can help in any way possible during what can be a very difficult time when a loved one passes away.”
Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum options are available and, depending on which one is selected, include: the coffin decorated with the club’s crest and lined in the club’s colours, internet site entry, hire of club flag to drape over the coffin, a wreath in club colours or full Ram floral tribute, entry into a Book of Remembrance located at Pride Park Stadium and interment of cremated remains at the pitch side. Each of these items is available as individual elements if preferred.
